And with the volume of people creating themes and plugins, Wordpress is the choice for people looking for lots of power in a simple, easy to use interface.

Which do I need?

• If you already have a hosting account with a provider or would like to host with a provider other than us (e.g. Hostgator) and you wish to add Wordpress to that account, you need the Wordpress Install and Setup.
  
  
• If you do not currently have a hosting account or would like to host this separately from your current website, then Wordpress Hosting is the right choice for you.

  A collection of ten plugins that help to improve search engine rankings, make it easy for your readers to share your content on social networks, provides a special interface for your iPhone visitors, and other cool functionality.
  
  
• Basic Instruction
  A 30 minute telephone consult showing you how to add content to your blog, add widgets to the sidebar, upload photos, and other general administrative functions.

What's not included?

• Importing content from another blog
  If you wish to move content from another blog or platform, contact us about doing a blog import.
  
  
• In-depth Wordpress instruction
  If you would like some comprehensive instruction on how to use Wordpress, you can certainly schedule some time where I will sit down with you via telephone and screen sharing so that you can learn how to use Wordpress like a pro.
  
  
• Theme Layout and Customization
  Many people come to RTC with a layout already designed with welcome videos and newsletter sign up forms, etc. And we are happy to help you out with that if you don't want to do it yourself. We can also take a theme you have found that you like and make changes to it to truly fit your vision. These services are provided at our hourly rate. Contact us for more info and a quote.

How do I get started?

1. Select your domain name if you have not already.
   If you already have a domain name, no problem. If you do need a domain name, you have two options. You can register a domain name through us when you place your order, or you can register your domain name through the registrar of your choice and just give us the details when you place your order.
   
   
2. Select a blog title.
   This will be the main description of your site. Often it matches your domain name, but it does not have to. For example, your domain name might be homegardening.com and your title might be "Jack's Secrets of Home Gardening".
   
   
3. Come up with a brief description of your site (optional).
   This is optional but helps improve your search engine rankings. Think of that tagline you want people to remember you by. Using the example above, the description might be "THE Go-To Guy for green thumbs everywhere."
   
   
4. Select a theme (If you are purchasing a Wordpress Hosting account, there will already be a number of themes from which to choose, so you can skip this step until later if you like).
   There are many free themes available. You can peruse the Wordpress Theme directory, or try a google search.
   There are also premium themes available. These are themes that have a cost attached to them. These themes typically offer much higher quality features than the free themes do. Our favorites come from the folks at StudioPress, WooThemes, and DIYThemes.
   
   
5. If you are ordering the Wordpress Install, we'll need some additional information.
   We will need the following information from your hosting provider:
   1. The URL to access your hosting account control panel.
   2. Your hosting account username.
   3. Your hosting account password (We recommend you change your hosting account password just before having us install the software so that you can change it back to your normal password when we are done).
