Google has changed their Analytics tracking code to provide anysnchronous support. If that last sentence just flew right over your head, that is okay. Here is what it means for you, the end user:
- Faster tracking code load times for your web pages due to improved browser execution
- Enhanced data collection and accuracy
- Elimination of tracking errors from dependencies when the JavaScript hasn’t fully loaded
This change will most benefit websites which run a lot of scripts (e.g. WordPress blogs), but even mini-sites will benefit from these changes.
I recommend upgrading all of your sites to the new tracking code to take advantage of these new features.
